Canon announces four new video cameras
Canon introduced 4 new video cameras today, two from which record onto DVD (DC10 and DC20). the DC10 has a 1.3MP CCD and the DC20 has a 2.2 megapixel CCD. There are three recording modes : XP with a VBR of 9Mbps, SP with 6 Mbps and a LP with 3 Mbps. The camera also has a MiniSD slot.
More compact are the IXY DV M5 and S1, which are MiniDV cams. The M5 has a 4.3 megapixel CCD and supports both 4:3 and 16:9 video. Its dimensions are 51x102x101 mm and it weighs 410g. The S1 has a 2.2 megapixel resolution and measures 54x105x73mm for 380g.
