Parallels Between The 300D And 300V

It would be impossible not to make a brief comparison between the EOS 300D and the 300V, since the two models are designed on the same principles. The 300V is the film camera equivalent of the 300D. Even though the look of the latter is not identical, it has been largely inspired by the digital model.
The plastic casing is just right, with a total weight of no more than 12 ounces (350 g).
The 300V is aimed at the amateur photographer, having a very attractive price and the same technical specifications as the 300D:
autofocus in 7 zones, 30-second shutter increments at 1/2000th of a second, 35-zone light metering, integrated flash with the usual options, P, A, S, M and Result modes (portrait, landscape, sports, night, macro and ambient light). The basic principles are identical. The only significant difference boils down to the price, which is US $250 (280 euros) for the 300V and around $1000 (1000 euros) for the 300D.
The digital version is still expensive. Total parity is still some way off.
