Canadian music streaming P2P betas

by - source: Tom's Hardware

Jackalope Audio, with roots in Vancouver BC, is launching a peer-to-peer MP3 streaming service that is tailored to stay within the bounds of copyright law. Files are not downloaded to computers, but can only be listened to by one other user at a time. Also, only three users can connect to a computer at once. While these restrictions would limit the choice of music initially, a sufficient number of subscribers would turn the service into a virtual jukebox with a theoretically unlimited choice of music. Currently in beta, the official launch is planned this month.
