James Cameron to develop multiplayer online game?
James Cameron, the director of Aliens and Titanic, has told BusinessWeek that he is currently working on the screenplay for a sci-fi movie called "Project 880." However, Project 880 could become the first large Hollywood production that hits the market first as multiplayer online game (MMOG) inititally. The actual movie could follow with some delay to the release of the game.
"So much of literary sci-fi is about creating worlds that are rich and detailed and make sense at a social level," Cameron is quoted. "We’ll create a world for people and then later present a narrative in that world"
According to BusinessWeek, Project 880 will not surface before 2008.
