CA to Launch a Dozen New Linux Tools
Computer Associates International Inc. at next week's LinuxWorld show in New York will launch its latest barrage of Linux tools that run across all of its product brands.
The Islandia, N.Y., software behemoth, hoping to make its name synonymous with Linux, will bring its total number of Linux offerings up to 60 with the latest releases.
The 12 new Linux offerings span the mainframe and distributed computing worlds and provide integration with existing CA offerings on other platforms.
In the distributed space, CA will introduce a pair of new BrightStor ARCserve 9.0 agents that provide backup and recovery in the distributed Linux world for both Apache and MySQL open-source environments.
