CA judge allows class action against MS

A California judge has reversed Microsoft's winning streak in its fight to prevent a class action suit by PC owners who say that the Redmond company overcharged them. These claims, filed after the U.S. Department of Justice took issue with Gates and company, still have a long way to go before they actually threaten Microsoft, but they raise the stakes in the antitrust suit considerably. Without a victory in the appeals court, a class action suit could be a bonanza for litigators and a disaster for Microsoft.
