Brother Issues Printer Recall
In a statement released on Tuesday along with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Brother International said it is recalling nearly 100,000 laser printers. The recalled Brother laser printers are Model Numbers HL-1040, HL-1050, and HL-1060, along with the MFC-P200 multifunction device, which combines, printing, copying and faxing with the printer, and were sold between June 1997 and December 2000. According to reports filed, some models of these laser printers have overheated and caught fire. Consumers who have one of the recalled models are asked to immediately stop using the printer and to call Brother International at telephone number (866) 236-6835 for repair.
