Broadcom shows '54g' Wi-Fi certifiable, ships draft-11g 6.1 code
Broadcom today made two draft-802.11g related related story ].The certification also says nothing about draft-802.11g spec compliance or interoperability of Broadcom's '54g' based designs because the Alliance's 802.11g test plans are still being developed [related story ].Broadcom also announced a new driver release for all '54g' hardware that incorporates the 802.11g version 6.1 draft specification . The release went to Broadcom's OEM and ODM customers, which must now process it for release to their end customers. Neither Buffalo Tech nor Linksys have yet released updates incorporating Broadcom's 6.1 release.
