Broadcom CEO berates Intel

Broadcom Corp.'s colorful and extremely annoyed CEO reacted to both the patent infringement suit by Intel and the accompanying comments to the effect that his company's business plan was based entirely on patented Intel communications technologies. Henry (Nick) Nicholas said he would make an exception to his policy of not commenting publicly on pending litigation and accused Intel of choosing "specious litigation in the courts rather than competition in the marketplace." He said that the move by Intel, an early investor in Broadcom, was really about the giant chipmaker's previous failed efforts to remove through litigation three of his top engineers and managers are ex-employees of Intel.
