Blizzard Offering Diablo III Beta Keys via Facebook
Blizzard is giving away 2,000 beta keys for Diablo II on Facebook until December 12.
Did you miss out on gaining access to the Diablo III Closed Beta? You're in luck, as Blizzard is now offering free Diablo III beta keys to fans of the game on Facebook. But the supply isn't unlimited: only 2,000 will be given away until December 12.
Unfortunately, Blizzard's sweepstakes actually started a month ago, but there's still plenty of time to gain access to the Burning Hells nonetheless.
"Starting October 17, we’ll be randomly selecting 200 winners each week to receive a key to our exclusive Diablo III beta test," the company reports on Facebook here. "In addition, we’ll also be awarding a second key to every fourth winner chosen. Drawings will occur at the end of every Monday for 8 weeks for a total 2,000 keys."
To become qualified, fans merely need to fill out an entry form and "like" Diablo on Facebook. There's also a button for spreading the good news to freinds on Facebook who may be yearning for a little early Diablo action.
Currently Diablo III is slated for a Q1 2012 release on Windows PC and Mac OS X. As previously reported, the Closed Beta is underway, but the company is now looking for an additional 2,000 players to test the servers and receive additional feedback. Beta key winners are chosen by random from a drawing, and not selected based on hardware requirements.
