Blimps to replace police helicopters?
Unmanned helium blimps could be used to zoom in on people across North America if a company presenting its product at an air transportation conference this week has its way. "Remote Aerial Tripod Specialists of Lac La Biche, Alta., is hoping to sell its nine-metre-long airships - complete with video and still photography cameras - to police forces across the continent as a new surveillance aid."
