Brother and Dynoplex announced the development of a universal printer interface as an addition to the Blackberry printing software for its Mprint MW-140BT mobile printer. The interface will allow Blackberry users to print documents on the device via Bluetooth connection.
Brother said that software vendors will have to invest "little or no development effort" to enable the feature. "Application developers need only install the universal printer interface in order to be able to print from their application to the MW-140BT. Installation is quick, easy, and saves the time of having to write a custom printer driver application," said Brother product manager John Biancamano.
The Mprint MW-140BT is currently offered for $400.
