Big Flash: Type II CompactFlash Up To 1GB/Type I Up To 640MB
SimpleTech just let us know that it's now offering Type I CompactFlash cards in capacities up to 640MB and Type II cards in capacities of 850MB and 1GB for commercial and industrial embedded applications, as well as consumer apps like digital cameras and audio players. SimpleTech says the cards can also be used as a storage cradle for Linux operating systems or embedded Windows-based systems that serve host devices. The high capacity cards are available in limited quantities through September, with production quantities expected to be available in October. SimpleTech hasn't released pricing info yet, but with 128 MB cards going for around $50, a little math should give you a pretty close estimation of what the things will cost.
