Best Buy halts development of own-brand notebooks under pressure from big brands
Best Buy, a US-based online distributor, has decided to suspend development of new own-brand notebooks due to pressure from brand vendors like Hewlett-Packard (HP), sources said. "According to sources, Best Buy recently halted its cooperation with Taiwan-based Quanta Computer on new notebook model development, after having launched its vpr Matrix 200A5 own-brand notebook, produced by Quanta, in late 2002."
