Belkin's Thumb Keyboard for PDAs
Inputting data on a PDA using a stylus can be time-consuming but one of those foldable keyboards can be overkill for two figured typists. If you're looking for a gadget that lets you ditch the stylus when you need to input data but doesn't require you to type like Mavis Beacon, Belkin may have a solution for you with its new line of mini PDA keyboards for Palm m500 and m505, Compaq iPAQ H3100, H3600, and H3700, and Handspring Visor Deluxe, Prism, Platinum, Neo, and Pro Handhelds. The little input devices will have an estimated street price of of $49.99 and will begin shipping in North America on January 28, 2002. The Belkin mini PDA keyboard is a handheld size keyboard that attaches to the bottom of your PDA. The idea here is that you type with your thumbs as opposed to your index fingers. The mini PDA keyboards include a button for special symbols and "emoticons" (just in case you can't convey sarcasm with words), are compatible with most word processing software, and don't require batteries. I couldn't dig up a picture of it, but I wonder if it looks anything like Targus' Thumbpad ?
