QOTD: Are You Buying Beatles Stuff Tomorrow?
It'll be Beatlesmania tomorrow, and everyone's invited on the magical mystery tour.
Tomorrow's a big day for Beatlemaniacs. Those who love the world's best known band but are with the times can look forward to playing the Beatles' best tracks using plastic instruments in Rock Band. For them and everyone else, however, there will be the release of remasters of the entire Beatles catalog.
The remastering process has been years in the making, ensuring that the Beatles have never sounded better than they will on the new CDs. In fact, tomorrow's release will be the first time that some recordings will have ever been available in their original monaural mix on CD. Remastered, stereo versions will also be available.
In an age where music artists are now selling their music on a track-by-track basis, the Beatles (which as of this moment are still not available via digital mediums such as iTunes) are sticking to selling their recordings as full albums.
Will you be buying anything Beatles tomorrow? If you're buying the CD box sets, will they be in mono or stereo? If you're going the Rock Band route, will you be getting the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or Wii version?
