BBC seeks to engage teenagers, MySpace style
The BBC Director General Mark Thompson has said that the younger generation will lose interest in the BBC if they do not get a new breed of personalised and on-demand programming.
Thompson said that the BBC will revamp its Web site to include user-generated content such as blogs, music and home videos, similar to MySpace. This comes alongside moves by the BBC to place advertising on its websites outside of the UK.
