Barack Obama Signs iPad; Meets With Steve Jobs

Now sign my fingerprint scanner here with your finger, please.

The POTUS, Barack Obama, often makes public appearances to greet the citizens. People often go crazy and confess their love to the leader of the USA, seeking handshakes, photographs and autographs.

This one man, Sylvester Cann, wanted a new type of autograph – made from Obama's finger to his iPad.

And this is what he ended up with:

This is what Cann told TechCrunch about the event:

At a rally in Seattle, WA at the University of Washington, the President used the touchscreen on my iPad to give me his autograph. Secret service was leery about the idea, but they warmed up to the idea and the President thought it was cool.

He looked slightly surprised, but proceeded to use his finger to scribble on the iPad using the Adobe Ideas app.

I have a video of the event as well. This HAS to be the first time an iPad has received a Presidential autograph.

In somewhat related news, Obama stopped by the Bay Area last week to meet with those in the technology sector. The Mercury News reports that Obama met with Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the Westin Hotel in San Francisco for around 45 minutes. The two supposedly discussed technology, education and job creation.

Obama also spoke at a $30,400 per plate fundraiser at Google executive Marissa Mayer home.

Each to their own, but he's actually a pretty good looking guy - I know a lot of people who think he's pretty hunky.

I also hear the price of bread went up this week. But wait; do I have some toilet paper that needs signing, prior to use or sale on eBay (whichever urge comes first)?

LOL. The spammers are putting auto generated text at the end of their posts to make it look like a legit post. THG you need to get a better registration system. This is an embarrassing problem for a top IT site to have.
