Bandai's Tamagotchi virtual pet returns
Just in case you missed your virtual Tamagotchi key chain pet, there is good news : Manufacturer Bandai announced a new generation of its electronic pet which requires your care 24 hours a day.
Highly popular around the world almost ten years ago, the Tamagotchi key chain device has not really changed its look, but has been outfitted with some new features. Besides a slighly larger display and somewhat improved graphics, teh device now includes infrared connectivity which enables owners to play games with other Tamagotchi owners, give gifts and Tamagotchis to become friends. Once an adult, the Tamagotchi can connect with a compatible Tamagotchi friend and have a second-generation Tamagotchi that the owner can care for and nurture into an adult to create more generations to come.
The new Tamagotchi will be available on August 15 for about $15 at all major retailers, Bandai said.
