Axis says next gen network cams coming next month
Network video product maker Axis Communications said yesterday it will roll out its new generation of network video products beginning next month .
The company said the new products will be based on its new ARTPEC-2 video chip and a new modularized design platform, which will enable Axis to more quickly get new products to market.
The new chip and platform will endow new network cameras and video servers with
built-in image sharpening, backlight compensation, noise reduction and white balance.
Other new capabilities include support for a variety of CCD and CMOS sensors with
up to "multi-Megapixel" resolutions, real-time compression of up
to 45 Megapixels per second and enable multiple Motion-JPEG and MPEG-4 video
streams at up to 30 frames per second from four simultaneous video
sources.
