AUO and CMO to begin 42" panel production ahead of schedule
AU Optronics (AUO) will kick off production of 42" LCD TV panels at its sixth generation (6G) TFT LCD plant in May 2006, instead of the second half of the year, as it originally scheduled, market sources indicated.
In addition, the sources indicated that Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) has already commenced production of 42- and 47" TV panels at its 5G plant in the first quarter of this year.
