ATI's All-in-Wonder RADEON 7500
I always thought that spelling things in all caps was the equivalent of yelling, so I guess that ATI must think that all of its products are worth hollering about. The company is now shouting about its All-in-Wonder RADEON 7500 graphics card and the fact that it is now shipping in North America. The card includes a Radio Frequency (RF) remote control, 2D and 3D graphics performance by virtue of the RADEON 7500 graphics chip, and 64 MB of DDR memory. The All-in-Wonder RADEON 7500 has a manufacturer's suggested list price of $199, which is enough of a feature in itself for a multimedia card. The new RADEON features ATI Multimedia Center 7.5 with functions that include a DVD player, TV-on-PC with an integrated interactive program guide, video CD player, file player, CD audio player, and media library. Other goodies include the Enhanced TV-ON-DEMAND personal video recorder for instant replays, pausing live TV or recording live broadcasts for later viewing; the ability to watch TV while working on a Windows application; a stereo TV-tuner with 125 channels; analog video capture and editing in MPEG-2 format at up to 720x480 and 30 frames-per-second resolution; support for DirectX and OpenGL; and support for Windows 98/Me/XP/2000.
