ATI or TI orders said behind SPIL's capacity increase
Silicon Precision Industries Ltd (SPIL) chairman Bough Lin confirmed that the company's recent capacity expansion was to accommodate orders from an international firm in negotiations with the Taiwan-based IC packaging and testing company. Lin declined to name the firm, but competitors indicate that the scale of the orders point to one of SPIL's top customers - ATI Technologies or Texas Instruments (TI).
