ATI announced price reductions on the FIRE GL 8800 and the FIRE GL 8700 in the "More Power to You" special promotion, as the company makes room for the FireGL X1. Beginning immediately, through this special offer available until September 30, 2002, ATI's mid-range workstation graphics accelerator, the FIRE GL 8800, will have an MSRP of USD$349. The FIRE GL 8700, an entry-level workstation graphics board, will have MSRP of USD$149.
