Catalyst 10.4a Preview for 4000, 3000, 2000 GPUs
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 gamers with ATI cards, read this.
AMD has released preview build of ATI Catalyst 10.4a, which updates the older 10.4 version to include support for ATI Radeon HD 4000, HD 3000, HD 2000 series GPUs. This one should be of interest to those who play Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
The only fix listed for the driver is:
- Long load times for new maps in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 when using a Windows 7 / Windows Vista based system.
Users of Windows XP also get to grab this as an early look at Catalyst 10.4.

Isn't it a bit too late? I mean, most of us have already finished BC2 tons of times ...
I have a brand new i7 with W7 and thought is was the HDD bottleneck that made the game load that slow.
BC2 is focused on online gameplay, which will be played for years to come like the iconic Battelfied 2. The single player game isn't even worth mentioning and only serves as an intro for "new to the battleground" grunts .
That is until Battlefield 3 gets released....
Isn't it a bit too late? I mean, most of us have already finished BC2 tons of times ...
It just means new players can finish it, umm, quicker.
