Atheros IPO brings big $ now, Cisco soon?
Yesterday’s initial public offering for WLAN chip maker Atheros’ came in at $14, significantly above the previously estimated $9.50 to $11.50 per share.
Nine million shares were sold, with Atheros’ price closing at $17.60, down from a first-day high of $18.45.
In its Atheros IPO story, Cisco is looking at using Atheros’s chips in products for the small business and corporate market."
Unstrung’s story said neither Cisco nor Atheros would comment on the report.
