Atari launches RollerCoaster Tycoon 3
Atari today announced availability of its RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 game. The sequel, designed by Frontier Developments, offers updated 3D graphics as well as new features such as the "CoasterCam" for more than 170 new-to-the-franchise roller coaster types, Atari said.
Also new are realistic day and night cycles with lighting effects, extensive still-picture and movie-making capability to allow players to share the fruits of their creativity, as well as a sandbox mode. A new Fireworks MixMaster lets players create pyrotechnic events and synchronize them to music using pre-set in-game songs or selections from their own music files.
The game is available at retail stores nationwide today. The game will be available in territories outside the US on November 5th, Atari said. (THG)
