Asus Launches Latest Gaming Rig: The Ares CG6155
Asus today announced the launch of the company’s latest gaming monster, er, machine, the Asus Ares CG6155.
This is a rig that has a lot of us here in the office drooling on our keyboards. The (Alienware-esque) design of the rig says it all, really. Inspired by both ancient and modern armour (with Eastern and Western influences, don’t you know ?), the rig looks like it’s about to burst right open and given the components inside, that’s a pretty accurate description.
The CG6155 packs the most advanced quad-core CPUs with factory over-clocking that boosts CPU performance by a third, 3-way SLI graphic cards, HD audio, DDRIII memory, up to 4TB HDD and a Blu-ray optical drive.
There’s no word on pricing yet, or availability and this has been a long time coming. We first saw this monster at CeBit in Germany before Christmas so we’re wondering how long it will be before we can actually get our hands on one. Then again, we’ll probably have to promise Asus our first born children to get one.
Here’s a run down of the specifications for you :
