Astronauts board Discovery for planned launch
With no sign of technical glitches and clear skies above, astronauts boarded shuttle Discovery on Tuesday in preparation for launch of NASA’s first shuttle mission since the 2003 Columbia disaster.
"So far, everything is working and that is good," said NASA launch commentator George Diller, as countdown clocks ticked toward the Discovery’s planned 10:39 a.m. (1439 GMT) launch.
