Asian IT firms, led by Samsung, moving up the global profit rankings
Samsung Electronics posted the second-largest net profit among IT companies worldwide in 2002, ranked only behind Microsoft, as its DRAM unit did relatively well last year with an operating margin of as high as 30%, reported the Nihon Keizai Shimbun .
