Asian chips traders sell off CPUs for cash to purchase DRAM; Prescott suffers
Chip traders in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries are selling CPUs, particularly the high-priced models, in the region for cash to purchase the more volatile DRAM chips for profiteering, according to sources in the local channels.
