ARM's 32-Bit Cores for Smart Cards and Security
ARM just let us know that it has extended its SecurCore family, adding the SC200 and SC210 microprocesssor cores. The SC200 core makes use of ARM's Jazelle for Java Card technology, along with new security features. ARM says that the Jazelle technology in the SC200 family allows the direct execution of Java Card Bytecodes. The SC210 core has all of the same features as the SC200 but adds a cryptographic accelerator, providing sub 100ms RSA, without the use of CRT, at 20MHz. Both the ARM SC200 and SC210 cores are available for licensing from ARM as we speak.
