ARM and Intel Agree to Keep Agreeing
ARM and Intel just signed a new licensing agreement that extends Intel's existing license to include the next generation ARMv6 architecture and lets Intel offer specific ARM core design implementations. As part of the agreement, Intel has licensed ARMv6. Along with the architectural agreement, Intel has also licensed the ARM7TDMI and ARM946E-S microprocessor cores along with gaining access to additional ARM7 Thumb, ARM9 Thumb and ARM10 Thumb core families in the future.
