ArialPhone's Wearable PC-Compatible Phone

If you need one of these things, I really don't envy you since that need probably keeps you from escaping the monitor's glow for very unhealthy periods of time. If you do spend ungodly amounts of time in front of your computer, say in tech support, this gadget can at least give you the freedom to pace around your cubicle. ArialPhone lets you simultaneously access both the telephone and PC through a wearable, hands-free earset, which is controlled by voice commands. It lets you perform automated contact management functions, like voice dialing, while you pace around in your veal-fattening pen. If your duties permit more freedom, the gadget is supposed to work up to 150 feet from your PC and even through walls. ArialPhone consists of an earset, voice-dialing software and a base station, which is attached to both a PC and an analog phone line. To use it, you press a button on the earset to alert the base station to listen for voice commands. The commands prompt the thing to access an your contact management app, dig up the appropriate number, and place the call. ArialPhone Corp. just announced a $100 rebate offer for the ArialPhone that starts immediately and extends through December 31, 2001. The $100 rebate brings the suggested list price of ArialPhone to $299.
