The Sharp Aquos LC32D6U's Average Fidelity

by

The Sharp LC32D6U's colour rendering held no surprises. As the figures show, the LC32D6U showed average colour fidelity. The colours were acceptable for a TV set.

Black spot White spot Contrast
1 384 384: 1

We're far from the manufacturer's idealistic specifications. The black level was very high, which adds up to contrast that's weak compared to the competition.

On the other hand, all the colours produced by the set were completely within the standard.

Spatial Uniformity

Good news: While the fidelity wasn't great, the screen was very uniform.

As you can see, the upper and lower parts of the image were a little darker than the rest, but the difference was undetectable to the naked eye. And overall there was very little light leakage.
