Apple TV preorders begin to be shipped - reports
Cupertino (CA) - Media reports are coming in that people who pre-ordered the Apple TV are seeing that their orders have been shipped.
The Apple TV was originally planned for a February debut, but it was pushed back to an undefined March release date. People who placed preliminary orders today reportedly received shipment notifications of the $300 unit.
The Apple TV was originally shown at an Apple press event last year, and it allows users to stream their iTunes content to a TV through a wireless connection. Since the original showing, Amazon.com teamed up with Tivo to offer a similar service for its digital download store Unbox.
For those who did not place an early order, Appleās online store now shows a 3 - 5 day processing time before shipping.
