Report: Apple Tablet Slated for September '09
Rumors all say that an Apple tablet is going to happen. Now it's just a question of when.
The rumors of an Apple tablet seem to phase in and out of the spotlight, but lately word on the street is hotter than usual.
The latest report comes from the usually reputable Financial Times, which says that Apple is working to bring out a tablet computer around September. The Financial times believes that tablet be able to connect to the internet like the iPod Touch, but won't have any of the phone features from the iPhone.
Just as the iPod has helped usher in sales of music digitally through services such as iTunes, the movie industry is hoping that a tablet device with a 10-inch screen could do the same for film.
"It's going to be fabulous for watching movies," said one entertainment executive to the FT.
Besides being a movie viewing device, a tablet would also be a good form factor as an ebook reader – something that has book publishers excited.
Today's report comes hot on the heels of last week's rumor that Apple would be launching a tablet in early 2010.
Either way, we're looking forward to see what Apple has to offer.

It will have a clickable screen, mega-multi touch supporting up to 10 fingers (upgrade to more will be available year after the release), fists, toddlers' arses and drunk fanboys' heads. The OS will be modified to support large fonts and it will have the onscreen QWERTY keyboard with two special hardware buttons. A plugin called MacBookWheel will be available by software so those used to the fantastic Wheel(tm) input system will feel like at home. Other than that that battery life will sport a hefty 48h (when used in complete darkness with a special external lamp that will allow the light to travel through the computer to enable external backlight when the internal lamps will be off). The screen will be available in "mirror" only (mirror = new glossy) and it will be made out of a single solid piece of metal from China and then covered with silver in India to create this classy "Apple" product. It will have a 20GB 1,200rpm harddrive, 1GB of RAM, Intel Atom CPU 1.6GHz, no CD drive, nVidia GT40 GPU and a single expansion port that will use a break-out cable for people who would like to connect it to anything at all. Completely non-servicable, welded case will provide a brilliant housing for this computational device. It will have all sorts of radios on board - Wifi, BT2.0, and even normal FM! To allow you (and others) to gain access to it. It will be advertised as a proper HD-capable 10inch tablet to watch HD movies. Prices:

The bottom line: Same crap as everything else. OK They might use nVidia ION for it - that would be the only upside to this thing... Other than that - a simple question comes to my mind... WHY!?
And then the answer - "Another product to rip off those less-informed"
So, @tinnerdxp, not a fanboi then?
