Apple eyes pro video market
Apple Computer announced two new partnerships to develop professional-level digital video authoring products.
The company will work with Pinnacle Systems, a provider of digital video editing tools, and graphics hardware specialist Matrox on a Mac-based system featuring the PowerPC G4 processor and specialized chips from Pinnacle.
Available this fall, the system will cost around $30,000 and will compare to specialized editing workstations costing much more, company officials said.
