AOL to delete SmartDownload spy code
AOL/Netscape says it will fix its SmartDownload product so that it does not report user identities and their file download behavior. The company has been sued for privacy violations over the feature, which it apparently inherited from the product's original developer, RealNetworks. AOL/Netscape says it never used the data generated.
