AOL offers free web service in Britain
America Online and Germany's Bertelsmann have launched a subscription-free Internet service in Britain.
The service, called Netscape Online, will not charge customers for Internet access, but they will have to pay for phone charges while they are online - at local rates. And if they need technical support, a call for help will cost a premium 80 cents per minute.
