Need to upgrade mobo, CPU and RAM

I'm looking into upgrading my PC.

I've got a GTX 1070 but the rest is a bit dated so I need a new mobo (single graphics card setup is fine), an Intel CPU and RAM (16/32GB).

My case is InWin GT1, 650W PSU.

My budget would be £500-600 or slightly over.

I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Any further questions just drop me a line, cheers!

  1. Do you have a specific reason for 32 gb ram? It'll lower your cpu choice on that budget a bit

This is what I'd like to suggest, but it won't fit with 32gb ram
  3. I guess I'm just trying to make it future-proof but never had any issues with 16GB of RAM in my current rig. I do some light Photoshop and video editing projects but nothing pro or huge.

Please consider 16GB option as well. Thank you!

Doesn't really work on an Intel setup either

I'd suggest either of those builds with 16gb ram. Purely gaming you'll see no benefit from 32 gb and I doubt you'll see much if any editing.

The i5 build would usually win gaming, the 2700x will win by leaps editing
  5. Great stuff, thanks for this!
Yeah, I'll go with 16GB, 32 would be an overkill for gaming.

    Thanks again!
