New PC won't display using integrated graphics?

Just built my first PC. I'm still waiting to receive my graphics card, but in the meantime I figured I'd start it up and use my mobo's integrated graphics (via HDMI). My mobo is an MSI B450M Bazooka.

When I boot, there is no display. I get one long beep followed by 2 short beeps, and on the mobo there is a "EZ Debug LED" strip of LEDS, and on it, its "VGA" LED is lit up. Does this mean it's looking for a graphics card? Will this problem go away once I install the graphics card?

Graphics card or not -- Shouldn't I be able to display using integrated graphics?

(There is also a DVI port, and I have not tried using that yet).

  2. Are you using any of the following Raven Ridge processors that have integrated graphics?

    Athlon 200GE
    Athlon PRO 200GE
    RYZEN 3 2200GE
    RYZEN 3 2200G
    RYZEN 5 2400GE
    RYZEN 5 2400G

Any of the other processors that don't have integrated graphics will require that you install a discrete graphics card to get any video.

Yes, that's my build, except I chose a different case for it.

So wow, no integrated graphics?? Only because of the CPU?
  4. That's right no integrated graphics.
These days they are integrated into the CPU not the motherboard, the motherboard has those connectors to enable you to use the integrated graphics if you choose a CPU that includes a GPU (AMD call the combo APUs) but has no graphics hardware itself. Intel are the same.
