250 pounds to spend upgrade GPU or MOBO CPU RAM ?

Hello There Fellow nerds i have a dillema.
i have 250 pounds sterling to spend on an upgrade and i am unsure whether to get a gtx1060 6gb
or ryzen 5 1600 with motherboard and 8gb ram.
currently have an intel i5 4570 CPU and GTX 1050ti
any thoughts would be much appreciated.
currently the palit super jetsream is only 230 pounds on Ebuyer so im looking at that.

  1. Your PC overal is pretty solid and spending 250 pounds would be kinda wasted.
    If you wanna Upgrade your CPU (would make more sense then gpu) then i would buy the newest 2nd Gen Ryzen but that might be tight on budget.
    Upgrading your GPU however will give you a solid performance boost but the next generation of Nvidia Cards are getting launched in 1-2 Months. Nvidia will officialy announce them at gamescome next week.

    I would suggest you wait and get a little bit more money so you can buy newest gen cpu+mobo+ram or a 1160/2060 (whatever the name will be).

    I'd go with the 1060. The CPU is plenty fast enough and you would gain about 50% graphics power. I think that system still has some life in it.

    yeah i am mainly gaming and the quad core is sufficient i kinda want to improve gaming but also im really interested in ryzen.
    i suppose ultimately a ryzen 6 core wont improve my gaming as such.

    just bought the palit 1060 6bg super jetstream. rgb and a nice backplate 229.99 ...nice.
  5. I think you should be able to play pretty much anything at max settings @ 1080p at 60Hz or damn close.
