differentiate between an active and a passive converter (how it's looks)

How do I differentiate between an active and a passive HDMI converter to VGA? (how it's looks)

    basically if you're looking to buy one simply read the description of the product. most of the time "active" is stated in the title of the adapter or at least in the description. if it's not specifically stated, then move on to another option until it states outright it is an "active" adapter.

    if you need more info to learn what the difference is and so on, then once lutfij fixes his link, you'll be more than educated :)

    All adapters HDMI to VGA are active. Passive adapters are not possible. If someone sells passive HDMI to VGA adapter, then it's fake product.
