Previously , I always used laptops for gaming, and now I'm going to build a low spec PC just to see if everything works out well. Its going to have 8GB RAM. I only want to game on the pc, but i know, i know, the specs are not great, but its a start right? All i need to know is will the Pentium G4560 bottleneck the GT 1030.(or vice versa?) And is a 450W PSU good for this arrangement.

Solution
Yes, they are fine together. No worries. Just keep your performance expectations in check and don't worry about any CPU bottlenecks or vice versa.

Lol no worries, ive been working with an intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz and 2gb ram NVidia G210M (256MB). I know this will run a lot better than that. (That latop is over 10 years old) about time i got an upgrade.

The 1030 will limit game performance, certainly at 1080p, except in the kinds of games for which it is adequate(ie esports). If you reduce settings and/or resolution down to 720p you'll get playable performance in many games that are a bit more demanding.

However, since you are already using a very low end computer for gaming, this new combo should be a mind blowingly great experience for you. Seriously there's no comparison.
