ASrock B350 Pro4 no video

Hello,

I have recently build a new computer. When I plug the computer into the VGA port from the computer to the VGA port on my TV, there is no signal. I have tried the same for the HDMI port from the computer to the TV... Still no signal.

My build:

AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X
be quiet!- Pure Rock CPU Cooler
ASRock - AB350 Motherboard
Team - Dark 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 memory at 2667 / MHz
2 - Seagate 2TB hard drive
Phanteks - Enthoo Pro M Mid Tower Case
Corsair - RMx 750W 80+ Gold Power Supply

I carefully put together all components when I build this computer. Took my time and read carefully the documentation when building this. The troubleshooting steps I have done so far are:

1. Reduce down to 1 memory module, tried moving the module to the A2 memory slot.
2. Reset the CMOS
3. unplugging all components, SATA hard drives, CD ROMs, etc. (anything not needed for POST)

The TV I have does not have a DVI input, so I was unable to test with DVI. Could it be that the motherboard default to output DVI by default.. or does this auto-detect?

The only type of display I have is a 50" TV. Could this be the issue? Do I need an actual monitor to see the BIOS?

I am running out of ideas.

That processor has no built in graphics so you must use a video card.
  2. I agree with Zerk. Those motherboard video ports are for the 'still to come' Ryzen APU's which have built in graphics.

When I insert a video card will the BOIS automatically detect the video card and switch the video output to the graphics card?

I thought the motherboard had a build in graphics processing unit?
  4. no the newer apu that are dropping on monday have built in video the older cpu do not. see if someone has test video card you can use.

Yes the board will detect the video card and plug your TV into the video card not the motherboard.
The motherboards built in graphics only work if the processor has built in graphics and yours does not.

Thank you. This worked for me. I bought a graphics card and everything works.
