Existing Build suddenly won't work (no display) - have worked through the list already!

So my very beautiful gaming PC suddenly doesn't work It's worked for me magically for more than 2 years, then it lived in storage for about 4 months, and when it came out it would boot up but not show anything on screen. Now, I've had an issue with moving it before and I went in and gave all the connections a little jiggle (I believe is the technical term) and it was all good, so I assumed it was the same issue, but at this point I've taken it all apart and put back together again, gone through all the steps in the PERFORM THESE STEPS thread and it's now breadboarded on my desk and still not working.
This is not even close to the first PC I've built, and given that it worked fine for 3 years (through 2 house moves), used by my girlfriend as a streaming PC for 18 months of that (with all the hassle of setting up streaming links to various consoles that that entailed) and then died I can't believe it's my building skills that have fallen down, especially as this issue was caused initially without me touching anything of the inside after the initial build when it definitely worked! Do motherboards deteriorate when not in use?

  1. PSU is more likely to be the one to deteriorate though depending on the quality of storage, could be other things too. When you press the power button, are there any lights on the mobo? any fans starting? Any sign of life at all?

Fans turn on, the fan for the processor turns on, Power light comes on - flashes for a few moments then alternates between being constantly on and turning off after the flashing each time I turn it all on, and all the colours of the motherboard shine brightly. It seems to be alive no problem except for the fact that it's not outputting any video.

Tried getting video out of the native Motherboard digital and analogue slots, as well as both slots on the Graphics Card.
  3. Which cpu do you have?
Also, if you plug the video into the mobo, do you first take out the gpu? Shouldn't be connected to the mobo in this scenario.
  4. What is your full system spec? include make and model of the psu
