Help! I think i've blown my external HDD

I've got a 4tb Verbatim (47674) Hard Drive and it stopped working when i used another adapter.

I can only assume i've blown it. I have tried different computers, cable and also i've taken the drive out and put into a new drive enclosure but it still wont power on.

I've read a few things about blown diodes so I took the PCB off to have a look and nothing looks blown (picture attached).

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Try connection it directly to pc with sata cables (data + power) - no adapters/enclosures.
  2. That's a great idea but i've only got a Macbook :(

    Any other ideas?
