More about upgraded motherboard recently
  1. 8GB is bare minimum in today's games IMO.
16GB is recommended, but with the way ram prices are i can understand people going with only 8GB.
It's also very game dependent, you could always go with 8GB now and if you feel like you need more ram you can always add more, assuming you are buying a single 8GB stick or buying 4GB x2 and have 2 extra slots spare.

Taking your opinion in account, if I do buy and use a 8gb ddr4 ram, it'll affect my computer's performance to run a game (depending on game off course)...If so, will it damage my pc if I run said game??...

  4. In games that require more ram you will get stuttering in places where the CPU needs to load more data from the page file from your hard drive, which is much slower then ram.
This won't cause damage to your pc.
