How to add new HDD to laptop
SO I'm planning on adding a new HDD to my laptop, but I don't understand how I can have applications download and install on that HDD instead of my SSD (C: drive). Also, what files do I need to add to the new hard drive for it to be usable (ex: my c: drive has ProgramData, Program Files, etc). Lastly, how would I move my games from my SSD to future HDD?

Steam has some kind utility to transfer their games to another drive.
When I add the drive, the new drive won't have the default folders like Program Files, and ProgramData, which Windows comes with, so will programs still be able to install to it?
Would I be able to create a desktop shortcut to folders and applications on my newly added HDD?
When you ad a new drive it will be empty. Once you have Windows on the SSD it will become C: and HDD will fave another letter, lets say D:. Now you install programs/games specifying to install on D: drive. Some files will also be written on C: but bulk of them will be on D: drive but icons and their menu will be on desktop.
